“Mahindra Alturas G4 is best competitor to Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavor”
Indian Automotive company, Mahindra has launched its fully premioum SUV model ” Mahindra Alturas G4″ in 2WD and 4WD modal to compete Toyota fortuner and Ford Endeavor. The price range set for 2WD and 4WD model is 26.95 lac and 29.95 lac respectively. It has been most premium SUV car manufactured by Indian car Manufacturer. In comparison to Fortuner , Alturas has more features for the customers.
Engine :
If we see the Engine Specification , Mahindra Alturas is powered by 2157 cc engine whereas Fortuner is powered by 2800 cc engine but power output of the engines are same. Power output of Alturas is 133.1Kw ( 178 bhp) @4000rpm and Max Torque is 420 Nm.
Power output of Fortuner is 130 Kw @3400 rpm and Max Torque is 420 Nm.
Transmission
Mahindra Alturas is combined with Mercedes Benz sourced 7 Speed Automatic transmission while Fortuner have 6 speed Manual and Automatic Transmission. 7 Speed transmission indicates smoothness in drives on higher speed.
Safety Features
In comparison to Toyota Fortuner , Mahindra Alturas have lead in safety features.
Mahindra Allures is equipped with 9 Air Bags( including sides, curtains and Driver Knee Airbag) to provide protection in all directions while fortuner provides 6 Air bags .
Like Toyota Fortuner , Mahindra Alturas is also configures with high- tech drive safety features like Hill Decent control (HDC), Hill start Assist (to prevent roll back), Brake Assist system ( BAS) , Active Rollover protection (ARP), Electronic Parking Brake with Auto hold system, ultra high strength quad frame structure, isofix child seat mounts , ABS with Effective braking Distributions (EBD), Electronic Stability program.
