Revamped Kia Carnival Unveiled: Jaw-Dropping Exterior Facelift and Futuristic Interior Upgrades Set to Redefine MPV Standards in India

Kia has officially revealed the refreshed external look of the Carnival facelift, which will be available in India next year. The redesigned Carnival MPV is based on the Kia KA4 that debuted earlier this year at the Auto Expo in India.

About Design Features

While the interior is yet unknown, the outside design of the Carnival makeover is consistent with what was expected based on recent spy images. The design of the MPV differs significantly from that of the KA4 MPV, with a more upright nose, a wider grille, and L-shaped headlamps with daytime running lights. The grille receives chrome accents, and the bumper receives a small air inlet lower down wrapped by a faux brushed aluminum skid plate.

The L-shaped theme is carried over to the taillamps, which are linked by an LED light bar, and the rear bumper is a mix of matte black and chrome. The alloy wheel style is similar to that seen on current Kia models, particularly the EV5 and EV9.

Interior Design features of KA4 MPV

Kia is yet to show the redesigned Carnival’s interior design. The dashboard and technology will be updated, and there will be several seating configurations available. Sunroofs will be available on higher trim levels as well. The Carnival will receive new seats inspired by the EV9, as well as additional amenities like as twin curved screens for instrumentation and infotainment, and safety technology such as ADAS, among others.

Powertrain Details

Depending on the market, two petrol engines and one diesel engine will be available. The 1.6-litre turbo-petrol hybrid engine will join the revamped Carnival’s global lineup, alongside a naturally aspirated 3.5-litre V6 petrol and a 2.2-litre diesel engine.

More information about the revamped Carnival will be revealed in due course. Kia has confirmed that the MPV, along with the born-EV EV9 flagship full-size SUV, will be available in India next year. In addition, the Sonet redesign is being prepared for release in the coming months.
