Maruti Suzuki has released the much-anticipated Jimny SUV in India, with Price starting at Rs 12.74 lakh for the base Zeta trim and rising to Rs 15.05 lakh for the top-spec Alpha trim (both prices ex-showroom, India). The Jimny has been bookings since its introduction at Auto Expo 2023, and the business has already received over 30,000 bookings. According to our dealer sources, delivery will begin in stages beginning in mid-June.
The Jimny, which was developed exclusively for our market – India is the first country to receive the five-door variant – will be manufactured at Maruti’s Gurugram plant and shipped to other markets from there. Customers can purchase the Jimny through Maruti’s subscription service for Rs 33,550 each month.
The Jimny is a very capable off-roader, but it is also surprisingly practical for everyday use. Jimny Engine and Transmission
The Jimny is powered by a 1.5-liter petrol engine that produces 103.39bhp and 134.2nm of torque. It is available with either a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic transmission.
