Tata Motors has been thoroughly testing the Nexon facelift in preparation for its introduction later this year. New spy images of the next Nexon’s interior reveal several intriguing features, particularly the paddle shifters.

As previously said, the Nexon facelift could include paddle shifters, which no production Tata car or SUV has thus far. However, we’ll have to wait and see if they are paddles or just controls for adjusting the Nexon EV’s regen settings.

The instrument cluster has also been updated to include a much improved digital driver’s display, with the steering wheel mimicking the Tata Curvv idea that was previously shown. The spy pictures also show that the Nexon could get a new flat-bottom steering wheel with haptic touch controls, which are often found in premium manufacturers such as Mercedes-Benz. According to sources, the Nexon facelift’s Curvv-inspired steering wheel will feature an illuminated branding similar to the idea.

Tata now provides the Nexon with a 6-speed AMT gear lever, but the photographs show that the Nexon’s gear lever also has a Park mode (P), which the former does not have. This could imply that the DCT automatic gearbox, which is now only available on the Altroz DCA, will be sold.

The second intriguing feature is touch-operable climate control, which is an improvement over the Nexon’s present physical HVAC controls. A wireless charging pad, which was launched with the Nexon EV Max, is another technology that is increasingly becoming popular in current vehicles and SUVs. The most anticipated improvement, though, is Tata’s new 10.25-inch touchscreen, which was unveiled at Auto Expo and has now made its way to the Tata Nexon EV Max, as well as the Harrier and Safari Red Dark Editions.

The Tata Nexon facelift is slated to be released in August 2023, and because the model will undergo major changes, we can expect the price to rise as well. Tata Nexon prices start at Rs 7.80 lakh and go up to Rs 14.5 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The new Nexon could be Rs 50,000 more expensive.
