- “Hyundai Exter: The most affordable SUV offering from Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) to hit the market, positioned below the Venue, and boasting the distinction of being the most affordable vehicle with six airbags.”
- “Revolutionary Design: Get ready for a head-turning presence with the Hyundai Exter’s elevated stance, sleek H-shaped tail lamp signature, and striking dual-tone green and black exterior. Experience the perfect blend of style and ruggedness.”

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) will host the Exter’s global debut in the coming weeks, ahead of its July 10 market introduction. The mini SUV will be the most affordable SUV product from the country’s second largest automobile manufacturer, since it will be positioned below the Venue, and it will also be the most affordable vehicle on the market with six airbags. The photographs of the Hyundai Exter have been steadily published over the last three weeks. However, the back end and interior were kept hidden behind the veil. The rear view of the South Korean automaker was seen today. The sub-four-metre SUV’s lofty posture is seen from the back.
A black trim connects the H-shaped tail lamp signature, which has the Hyundai insignia affixed in the centre. The SX variation insignia was on the right side of the upright tailboard, while the Exter text was on the left. The numberplate area is visible beneath the black trim, as is a large faux skid plate with horizontal reflectors.
The Hyundai Exter pictured above has a dual-tone green and black exterior colour scheme, and optional features include an integrated spoiler with high-mounted stop lamp, shark fin antenna, and robust roof rails. Body-colored door handles, two-tone Y-shaped alloy wheels, and thick black side and wheel arch cladding give the car a squared-off appearance.
The Exter will compete directly with the Tata Punch, as well as the Citroen C3 compact hatchback and entry-level Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger models. It will be available with a long list of basic safety features, including six airbags. A touchscreen infotainment system, voice-assisted motorised sunroof, and dash cam with dual cameras will be among the other attractions.
Hyundai Exter SUV will be provided by a 1.2L NA three-cylinder petrol engine mated to a five-speed manual gearbox or a five-speed automatic gearbox. The factory-installed CNG variant will only be available with a five-speed manual gearbox.
