- Salman Khan has upgraded his security measures following death threats from a notorious gangster, and has replaced his previous-generation Toyota Land Cruiser with a fully armoured Nissan Patrol.
- The Nissan Patrol is not officially available in India, but a few Indians have imported the top-of-the-line luxury SUV, which is one of the most prestigious SUVs in the country. It is powered by a 5.6-liter naturally-aspirated V8 petrol engine producing 400 PS of maximum power output and 560 Nm of maximum peak torque output.

Salman Khan’s security has been significantly increased since he received death threats from a notorious gangster. Previously, he travelled throughout Mumbai in a fully armoured previous-generation Toyota Land Cruiser. He recently purchased a brand-new fully armoured Nissan Patrol.
The Nissan Patrol, like his previous-generation Toyota Land Cruiser LC200, is a fully armoured SUV. The Patrol has thickened window panels and additional protection for its door panels, as seen in a walkaround video uploaded to the YouTube channel ‘Cars For You’. Apart from the aforementioned details, it is unclear what additional equipment this Nissan Patrol has.
It should be noted that the Nissan Patrol is not currently available in India. This fully armoured Patrol, on the other hand, was imported from one of the right-hand drive markets where this SUV is sold. The Patrol is likely to have been imported from Japan, which, like India, is a right-hand drive market.
The Nissan Patrol is one of the most prestigious SUVs available in India. Although it is not officially available, a few Indians have imported Nissan’s top-of-the-line luxury SUV. This massively popular SUV is the best in Nissan’s SUV lineup, and it, like the Land Cruiser, is a full-sized ladder-on-frame luxury SUV.
About Powertrain of Nissan Patrol
A 5.6-liter naturally-aspirated V8 petrol engine produces 400 PS of maximum power output and 560 Nm of maximum peak torque output in this generation of Nissan Patrol. The Nissan Patrol already has a low fuel efficiency figure due to the massive V8 construction of this engine. Salman’s Nissan Patrol, on the other hand, should have even lower fuel efficiency due to the additional weight gained due to fully-armored construction.
Nissan has been selling this generation of the Patrol in the United States for several years. However, it has not yet been officially released in the Indian market. Nissan unveiled this SUV a few years ago with the intention of officially launching it in India.
However, the Japanese automaker backed down from this plan, citing low SUV volumes. Nonetheless, Nissan is currently working on bringing a few of its compact SUVs from its global portfolio to India, which is expected in the next couple of years.

Salman Khan, despite being a superstar, has recently received praise for his austerity. The actor’s collection of premium luxury cars for his daily rides, on the other hand, is quite impressive. Khan has a Range Rover Autobiography, an Audi RS7, a Mercedes AMG GLE 63 S, a Mercedes Benz GL-Class, a Mercedes Benz S-Class, a Lexus LX 470, an Audi A8, and a Porsche Cayenne in his garage.
Interestingly, he was also seen driving around in a heavily modified Maruti Suzuki Gypsy a few years ago. This white vehicle has been modified with an off-road spec bumper, a bullbar, a front tow hook, an electric winch, LED auxiliary lamps, and aftermarket headlamps.
