Maruti Suzuki, India’s largest automobile manufacturer, has updated the Baleno with new safety features in India. ESP and hill hold are now standard across all variants of the premium hatchback.
In terms of specifics, the addition of ESP makes the base variants of the Baleno premium hatchback significantly safer by lowering the chance of skidding. This feature is very beneficial when driving on a slick road.
Furthermore, with the addition of the hill-hold function, new Baleno drivers may drive on steep inclines without fear of the vehicle rolling backwards because the vehicle will continue to apply brakes for a few seconds after the user releases the brake pedal. This allows the user plenty of time to transfer gears and continue onward.
If we talk other safety features, the new Baleno gets Driver and passenger airbags, speed warning, seat belt reminder, ABS with EBD braking system, reverse parking sensors, brake assist, seat-belt tensioner, and other safety features are standard on the Maruti Suzuki Baleno.

Furthermore, the base model of the new Maruti Suzuki Baleno has been increased by Rs 12,000, and it now costs Rs 6.56 lakh (ex-showroom, India) and comes with features such as halogen projector headlamps, LED taillamps, auto climate control, rear defogger, all power windows, keyless entry, central locking, tilt power steering, semi-digital instrument panel, and a few others.
In terms of engine specs, the new Maruti Suzuki Baleno is still available with the same engine. This is a 1.2-liter normally aspirated petrol engine with a 12-volt mild hybrid system. According to Maruti Suzuki, this engine has a top power of 89bhp and a peak torque of 113Nm.
Mileage of Maruti suzuki Baleno petrol is 23.35 kmpl and 22.94 kmpl with MT and AMT respectively.
