Ducati has unveiled the DesertX 2023 in Europe. It includes a few new updates over the standard model, and here’s what we know so far.

The first change is a new livery for the RR22. It comes in black, silver, and red and covers the entire bike. Overall, the RR22 livery improves the DesertX’s visual appeal. Another improvement to the Italian ADV is the addition of turn-by-turn navigation. It is based on the Ducati Multimedia System and displays the necessary data on the bike’s dash. The same technology will be available on the Diavel V4 in the future.
Engine and powertrain
The DesertX is powered by a 937 cc Desmodromic Testastretta engine with 110 bhp and 92 Nm. It’s mated to a six-speed transmission with a bidirectional quickshifter.
This bike also has cornering ABS, traction control, ride modes, power modes, wheelie control, engine brake control, cruise control, and other rider aids. Meanwhile, the accessory catalogue offers a plethora of options, including the previously mentioned navigation system and an auxiliary fuel tank.
Price and Rivals of DesertX
In India, deliveries of the Ducati DesertX began in January. The bike costs Rs 17.91 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), and we anticipate that the new cosmetic and feature updates will be available in India soon. It competes in the market with the Triumph Tiger 900 Rally, Honda Africa Twin, and BMW F850 GS.
