Pure EV, a Hyderabad-based electric vehicle manufacturer, has introduced the ecoDryft electric motorcycle in India. The Pure EV ecoDryft costs Rs 99,999. (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The ex-showroom price of Rs 99,999 is only available to customers purchasing the Pure EV ecoDryft in the nation’s capital, New Delhi. The ex-showroom price for customers purchasing the new ecoDryft electric motorcycle anywhere else in the country is Rs 1,14,999. Deliveries will begin on March 1st.
The Pure EV ecoDryft is powered by a 3.0kWh AIS 156 certified battery pack that provides up to 130km of range on a single charge. Charging the battery pack to 100% takes 6 hours, while charging it from 20% to 80% takes 3 hours.
The ecoDryft is available in three riding modes: Drive, Cross Over, and Thrill. The ecoDryft’s top speed is limited to 45km/h in drive mode and 60km/h in Cross Over mode. The Pure EV eCoDryft can reach a top speed of 75km/h when in Thrill mode.
The battery pack is connected to a motor with a nominal output of 2.68bhp and a peak output of 4.2bhp. The motor’s torque output is claimed to be 40Nm. According to Pure EV, the ecoDryft will accelerate from 0 to 60 kilometres per hour in 5 seconds.
The Pure EV ecoDryft appears to be an entry-level commuter motorcycle with the engine area covered up and filled with batteries. The bike has an 18-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel, as well as a 7-inch TFT display with Bluetooth support. The ecoDryft electric motorcycle is available in four colours: black, grey, blue, and red.
