The top-spec ZX variant of the Hero Xoom is the only one with cornering lights, which is a first for the 110cc scooter segment and even a few segments above. These lights essentially illuminate the road in the direction the scooter is leaning. When the scooter is leaned into a corner, a gyroscopic/accelerometer sensor sends a signal to the cornering lamps. When the scooter is stationary and the handlebar is turned, the cornering lamps do not illuminate.

The ZX variant also includes Hero’s XTEC Bluetooth connectivity system, which enables notification alerts on the digital dash, a front disc brake, and diamond-cut alloy wheels.

The mid-level VX variant also gets a digital dash (albeit with a different backlight), but lacks the connectivity features mentioned above. The base LX variant is the only one with a digital-analogue dash and the option of a USB charger, glove box, and boot light, which are standard on the other versions.

Technical specifications of Hero Xoom scooter

The Hero Xoom shares the same 110.9cc engine as the Maestro Edge 110 and the Pleasure+, as well as the same tuning. The single-cylinder, air-cooled engine produces 8.1hp at 7,250rpm and 8.7Nm of torque at 5,750rpm. All Xoom variants include Hero’s i3s start/stop technology, which can also be turned off.

The chassis is the same as Hero’s other 110cc offerings, but it has been customised for the Xoom. The telescopic fork and monoshock system are completely new.

The VX and ZX models have a wider rear tyre measuring 100/80-12, while the LX model has a 90/90-12 unit. The front tyre size of 90/90-12 remains universal.

The seat height is a manageable 770mm, and the ground clearance is 155mm. The top-spec ZX variant is the only one with a 190mm front disc brake, while the other two have a 130mm drum brake. All variants feature a 130mm drum brake at the rear.

The Xoom LX and VX variants weigh 108kg, while the ZX weighs 109kg. The fuel tank capacity for all three variants is 5.2 litres. According to Hero, the Xoom is not currently OBD-2 compliant. The OBD-2 standards go into effect on April 1, 2023.
