Toyota has reintroduced the popular Innova Crysta in the Indian market, and bookings for the 2023 Toyota Innova Crysta have begun at Rs 50,000. Toyota Innova Crysta prices will be announced in the coming days. As previously reported, the new Innova Crysta will continue to be sold alongside the recently launched Innova Hycross.

What’s new in the Toyota Innova Crysta 2023?

While the 2023 Innova Crysta’s appearance remains largely unchanged, the image released by Toyota confirms a minor facelift for the Innova Crysta. Toyota has updated the front fascia to make the vehicle more SUV-like, with a slightly smaller and more prominent front grille and a new front chin. The enclosures for the fog lamps have also been redesigned. The side profile and alloy wheel design, on the other hand, remain unchanged.

Toyota Innova Crysta 2023: a single powertrain option

While the previous Innova Crysta, which was quietly discontinued in late 2022, offered both petrol and diesel engine options, the 2023 iteration will be diesel-only. It will retain the 2.4-litre diesel engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission but will not offer an automatic transmission.

Toyota will be selling two Innova models at the same time for the first time. The powertrains, however, differ significantly, with the new Innova Crysta being diesel-only and the Innova Hycross receiving petrol and petrol-hybrid powertrains.

Toyota Innova Crysta 2023: features and safety

The Innova Crysta 2023 will be available in four trim levels: G, GX, VX, and the top-spec ZX. Except for the ZX, all trims will be available in either seven- or eight-seat configurations; the ZX is only available in a seven-seat configuration.

The feature list for the new 2023 Innova Crysta has also been updated. The MPV has a powered driver’s seat adjust, multi-zone climate control, picnic tables for the second row, leather seats in multiple colour shades for higher variants, ambient lighting, and a one-touch tumble feature for the second row seats. An 8-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay will handle infotainment duties.

The new 2023 Innova Crysta comes with seven airbags, front and rear parking sensors, electronic stability control, and hill start assist. All Innova Crysta variants will now come standard with three-point seatbelts for all passengers.
