An Ola S1 Pro user recently suffered serious injuries after the electric scooter’s front suspension broke off while the user was riding it.

According to the owner of the Ola S1 Pro, the front suspension of the electric scooter failed at a speed of only 35km/h.
According to Ola Electric, preliminary investigations revealed that the scooter was
involved in a high-impact road accident.

Following the internet backlash, Ola Electric issued an official statement in which it stated that it had provided all necessary support to the family of the rider involved in the accident. The rider is safe and
recovering from his injuries, according to the statement.
Furthermore, Ola’s official statement stated that the company’s highest priority is vehicle safety and quality standards, and that the Ola S1 Pro electric scooter has been rigorously tested over a distance of
more than 50 lakh kilometres across challenging terrains and all types of weather conditions.
Ola Electric also stated that over 1,50,000 of its electric scooters are currently on the road, and that this particular issue has only been experienced by a small number of customers in high-impact accidents. According to the statement, the factor of safety for the front forks in the Ola electric scooters is 80% higher than typical loads.
