In the starting of New year 2023, Hyundai India has introduced the facelifted Grand i10 Nios hatchback in India, with a starting price of Rs. 5.69 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
The Hyundai Grand i10 Nios now appears much more current and sportier than the previous model, thanks to the facelift. Furthermore, the entry-level hatchback is still available in four trim levels: Era, Magna, Sportz, and Asta.
The redesigned Hyundai Grand i10 Nios retains features like as a huge 8-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, climate control, steering-mounted controls, electrically adjustable ORVMs, power windows, and much more.
Engine and Transmission in New Hyundai Grand i10 Facelift 2023 model
In terms of powertrain, the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios comes with two options. The 1.2-litre, normally aspirated, 4-cylinder petrol engine produces 82bhp and 113.8Nm of torque. The bi-fuel version of the powertrain, on the other hand, produces 68bhp and 95.2Nm of torque while running on CNG.
In addition, with the base petrol engine, Hyundai provides both a 5-speed manual transmission and a 5-speed AMT unit. The bi-fuel powerplant, on the other hand, is only available with a 5-speed manual transmission. Furthermore, Hyundai claims that both powertrains can run on E20 fuel (20% ethanol and 80% gasoline).
Exterior features of New Hyundai Grand i10 2023 model
To begin with, the redesigned Hyundai Grand i10 Nios hatchback has an evolutionary design language. Because of its evolutionary design, the redesigned hatchback quickly distinguishes itself as the Grand i10’s most recent incarnation. It is also worth noting that the facelifted model now appears much sportier.
A bigger front grille with huge honeycomb-shaped meshing is one of the most visible upgrades. Furthermore, the front part includes two aggressively styled airdams with integrated DRLs. The redesigned Grand i10 Nios hatchback has new alloy wheels on the sides, and the rear now has more contemporary-looking integrated LED taillamps.
Changes in Interior features of New Grand i10 facelift car
On the inside, however, the modifications are less noticeable because the revised Hyundai Grand i10 Nios has the same dashboard with a comparable layout. Having said that, Hyundai has updated the interior colour scheme, and the hatchback is now available in three colour combinations: black/grey, black with red inserts, and black with green inserts. Hyundai has also replaced the semi-digital instrument cluster with a more traditional configuration that includes a MID display flanked by an analogue speedometer and an analogue tachometer. Though it may appear to be a step back, the traditional setup not only looks nicer, but it is also far more legible on the move.
Safety features in Grand i10 2023
When it comes to safety features, Hyundai has really stepped up its game in the hatchback segment by including 6 airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), hill-hold assist, ABS, EBD, and much more. However, it is worth noting that the new Grand i10 comes standard with four airbags.
With the release of the revised Hyundai Grand i10 Nios hatchback, the South Korean automaker hopes to recapture lost momentum in the hatchback class and increase its overall market share in the coming months. Furthermore, we anticipate that the hatchback’s bi-fuel model will sell better in cities.
