While we all are facing climate change across the country due to pollution. The country is moving at fast speed towards electric mobility. Now along with Cars and bike , Tractors has also become the part of journey. Recently Escorts Electric tractor got its regulatory certification from Indian Government to sell in the Indian market.

Earlier the Escorts electric tractor was first showcased three years ago in 2017.Since than the company was working on the development and CMVR certification of the electric tractor.
Company’s Managing Director Mr. Nikhil Nanda revealed on the social media “Very proud and excited to share that Escorts becomes the first company to get Budni Certification in India for Electric Tractor (CMVR certification from CFMTTI Budni). Three years ago in 2017, we showcased the futuristic and eco-friendly electric tractor concept to the world at ESCLUSIVE. We are proud to export the tractor in key international markets since 2019, and now with Budni certification, ready to empower Indian farming electric mechanization.”
So after getting the CMVR (Central Motor vehicle rule) certification for Budni testing center, the Escorts tractor is eligible to sell and subsidized for the Indian Market.

As Escorts Ltd is already exporting the electric tractor since 2019, now it is planning to penetrate India’s market.
This new tractor is the rival of recently launched Sonalika electric tractor in India.
