Citroen announced to starts its inning in India with first model Citroen C5 Aircross. The new Citroen C5 aircross will be launched in February 2021.
The Company is going to starts its first inning with ten dealership across India. The interesting thing is that company’s showroom name is named as ‘La Maison’. La Maison Citroen means home of Citroen.
The first showroom La maison opened in Ahmedabad , Gujrat. Now company is going to launch nine more new showrooms in Delhi, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai and Cochin.
To make a unique experience at showroom, company will introduce its vintage models and 3 configurator screens at every showroom. In addition to it , Citroen Cafe will also available for customers.
About First Model Citroen C5 Aircross
Citroen C5 Aircross is the first introductory premium suv model. The C5 Aircross will rival the Tata Harrier and Jeep Compass.
New C5 Aircross comes with 2.0 L diesel engine which is capable to delivers max power of 180 hp and max torque of 400 Nm. The suv will get 8 speed automatic transmission.
If we talk about price, New C5 aircross suv price will be around 30 Lakh (ex-shworoom). Yet company has not revealed the price officially.
Company will also add petrol version of C5 aircross later in India. New C5 Aircross will be available as CKD (Completely knocked down) kit.
In term of features , new Citroen SUV will get features like dual zone climate control, 12.3 inch digital instrument cluster, 8 inch touchscreen infotainment system, split LED headlamps with DRLS, a panoramic sunroof etc.
As the SUV market in India is continuously growing ,the introduction of new SUV will make competition in India more harder. Company is also planning to introduce rival of compact SUV models Hyundai Venue , Tata Nexon , Hyundai Creta etc by 2022.
